Pont Gâr - Pure Welsh Soft White with Garlic and Herb Cheese

Pont Gâr Soft White cheese is produced in West Wales using carefully selected local milk, it is made using traditional techniques with fresh herbs and garlic before being matured in special ripening conditions for up to one month.

The Taste Soft texture when young, becoming smooth and creamy as it matures.  The slight mushroom flavour blends with the herbs and garlic to give a very fresh tasting, savoury balance of flavours
Recipe Suggestion Great with fresh salad, biscuits or crusty bread or for use in cooking – try wrapped in foil and barbequed or baked in a hot oven and use as a dip or Chicken breast fillet with a slice melted in the middle wrapped with ham or bacon
Complementary Products

Pont Gar Soft White Garlic and Herb is excellent with most other foods, try it thinly sliced with ham on toast for a quick snack, in chicken breast fillets or with pasta. Light fresh wines  complement the delicate flavours of this cheese

Introduced in the summer of 2006 when the delicate recipe was developed. The Pont Gar range of products has been awarded many prizes and other accolades during its first year

Pont Gar means Carmarthenshire Bridge and Gar also translates as ‘love’ in Welsh – the packaging carries the abstract heart logo which reflects this bilingual message
